How to focus your timeline to follow a single person

When you want to follow only the events of a particular person, the best way to do this is by filtering. To focus your timeline and to follow a single person, follow the steps below: 

1. Open the panel for 'People' in the sidebar.  
2. Ensure that the view you wish to filter has focus. 
3. Click on the filter icon ( ) next to the person's name

If you wish to compare the timelines of two particular people in your timeline, it may also be useful to follow the same steps with a split view [link to split view article] open.

1. Open split view. 
2. Follow the steps listed above in your newly opened view.
